Anquet Version 06 contains a host of exciting new features to make even better use of your digital maps on your computer. With a completely new interface, powerful new database management tools, enhanced GPS capability and compatibility with any Microsoft enabled Smartphone, Anquet Version 06 opens an exciting new era in the world of digital mapping and route planning.
Anquet Version 06 OS Landranger -Full Great Britain on DVD provides the perfect solution for planning walks or cycle routes for day trips or longer itineraries. The DVD is packed with Ordnance Survey mapping, used in paper format by millions of walkers and cyclists. Anquet users can plan routes, plot them on the maps and instantly calculate distance travelled, height gained and walking time. Route descriptions and profiles can also be created. Users can print maps, profiles and route descriptions to use en route and can download routes to their Garmin or Magellan GPS. Maps can be viewed in 3D, with the user able to fly over the landscape at any height and in any direction.
Anquet Version 06 supports a wide range of standard GPS and PocketPCs with in-built GPS capability. Anquet has also developed a unique set of software tools which are set to revolutionise the way GPS is used. Anquet Virtual GPS replicates the functions of a standard GPS unit on your laptop, POcket PC or Smartphone. When used in conjunction with a basic, screen-less GPS receiver you have access to full GPS capability without the need to purchase an expensive handset.
Anquet Version 06 is now compatible with Microsoft enabled Smartphones. Functionality on the Smartphone is similar to that on PocketPC, opening up a world of opportunity for phone users for route planning and viewing digital mapping.
You can now create and file routes and waypoints directly to your Pocket PC as well as exchange routes with a GPS without the need to transmit data via a desktop. Route and waypoint data can be processed using Anquet's new Data Explorer.
This exciting new feature provides a set of powerful data management tools with which you can manage routes and waypoints in a variety of ways. Different databases can be assigned different default properties such as route colour and icon type. This facilitates easy differentiation of different data sets on the map (e.g. walking and cycling routes). Data can be easily filed in folders and/or databases by simply clicking and dragging with the mouse.
It is now possible to view any pair of maps of different types, at different viewing scales, viewed in 3D Virtual Landscape mode or not, and either synchronised to the same position or not, as required.
