Sony has hit the nail on the head with the Cyber-shot DSC-HX1, a wide-angle bridge camera with a long zoom capability and an ultra-fast 9.1-megapixel CMOS sensor. 

The technology incorporated in this model lets the Cyber-shot DSC-HX1 capture subtle tones in shaded and bright areas more efficiently. The 3200 ISO sensitivity range, supported by the BIONZ processor and digital Clear Raw NR noise reduction, helps to eliminate blur, especially in dimly lit environments. Meanwhile, Sony's large-range 28-560mm G zoom lens is designed to complement the extraordinary power of the Steady Shot optical stabiliser, guaranteeing picture-perfect snaps every time.   

The Steady Shot optical stabiliser is particularly handy when you're using the Panoramic mode, as it lets you fit loads more into a frame. Lining up your shot is easy, too, thanks to the electronic viewfinder and the adjustable 3-inch screen - in fact, it's so easy that you'll be able to shoot from any angle!

Finally, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX1 is one of the rare digital cameras to include a Full HD 1080p video mode, allowing you to try your hand at shooting footage suitable for enjoyment on modern screens.
