Samsung goes from strength to strength with the arrival of the NV40, a compact camera with a retro look. As well as being equipped with a 10.5-megpixel sensor, this camera has a dual optical and digital stabilisation system, which has been developed by the manufacturer to ensure that photos are blur-free, even when they’re taken in the worst shooting conditions. Its sensitivity range, going up to 3200 ISO, compensates for darkness, while Smart Touch technology enables you to control all of the camera’s features with a finger. Thanks to its touch screen, you can also browse through menus easily, and use a number of special modes and the face detection feature to take photos just like a pro. The NV40 also doubles up as a camcorder, allowing you to capture up to 4 hours of video footage.
