The HVR-V1E, which was voted "Best Professional Camcorder 2007" at the
TIPA awards, is the first camcorder from Sony to incorporate a
tri-CMOS sensor system with high sensitivity and an extended dynamic range, delivering high-quality images with perfect colour restitution. CMOS technology
actually consumes less energy than CCD technology, so your camera's battery will
last longer than ever.
The HVR-V1E also boasts EIP technology, which processes signals
at 1920 x 1080p, and a progressive scan mode. You can use your Sony camcorder to record directly
onto miniDV cassettes or onto professional-quality DVCAM cassettes.
When it comes to recording sound, the HVR-V1E has two XLR
microphone inputs so you can capture sound directly on camera, while an
additional microphone and extension arm let you record distant sounds.
You can view your video creations on an HD-ready TV
or a computer screen thanks to the HDMi output and Firewire port. The HVR-V1E even has a timecode-preset function for synchronising several
camcorders, so you can edit and acquire footage with ease.
