The EOS 500D is a great consumer-level SLR camera with a 15.1-megapixel sensor and a Full HD video mode. Plus, it was crowned "Best European SLR Camera" for 2009-2010 at the European Imaging and Sound Association awards.

Thanks to its APS-C-type CMOS sensor, the 500D is ideal for taking all kinds of photos. The 500D captures even the tiniest details with ease, allowing you to make paper copies of your photos in sizes as large as poster format - without any loss in quality.

Its DIGIC 4 processor works with the incredible ISO 3200 sensitivity to guarantee colours are always vibrant, even when you're shooting in unfavourable lighting conditions.

Meanwhile, the EOS 500D's quick focusing mode complements the large AF range, which has 9 focus points, including a central one for the precise burst mode, to provide unrivalled performances with f2.8-aperture lenses.

With this Canon digital SLR camera, you'll never miss a thing: in fact, you can even record split-second action with 1920 x 1080p resolution using the Full HD video mode.

Among the EOS 500D's set of connectors, you'll find an HDMi socket for hooking up an HD-compatible TV. Plus, the camera's outer casing is made of stainless steel and polycarbonate, and there's a cleaning system built into the body to prevent the build-up of dust.

The EOS 500D is supplied here with two EF-S 18-55 IS and EF-S 55-250 IS lenses for portrait and landscape photography.
