Step into the world of high-definition video with the Sony HDR-XR500VE HD camcorder.

The Sony HDR-XR500VE can be used as a high-precision camcorder and a powerful digital camera, and it can record up to 50 hours of 1920x1080-pixel video footage in AVCHD format onto its 120 GB hard drive. It can also take 12-megapixel still images which it stores to Memory Stick memory cards. 

The HDR-XR500VE's 6-megapixel CMOS processor, BIONZ processor, optical stabiliser and 12x optical zoom ensure every single detail is captured, while face and smile detection and the built-in flash guarantee bright colours for your favourite memories.  

What's more, the Sony HDR-XR500VE boasts an impressive choice of connectors, including several video outputs and an HDMi socket, not to mention Pictbridge compatibility for added user-friendliness.
