Nintendo Wii Games Console

The Wii is one giant step for man in the video game domain thanks to its revolutionary remote and its innovative games.

The Remote Control:

The Wii remote control has intuitive commands. Up to four Wiimotes can be connected to the console simultaneously. The Wiimote and the Nunchuk controller can be connected and both include motion detectors. The Wiimote also includes an in-built speaker, a vibration function, an extension port, a power switch, a multidirectional controller, A and B, Select, Home, 1 and 2 buttons. The Nunchuk controller includes an analogue controller and two buttons (C and Z).

Design:

The Wii has a compact and stylish design that adapts perfectly to your TV furnishings. The console can be placed vertically or horizontally.

Discs:

The console reads single and dual-layer 12-cm optical discs, as well as Nintendo GameCube 8-cm discs.

Internet:

The Wii can connect itself to the Internet even when the power is off. The “WiiConnect24” provides updates for games and other data. Gamers can connect wirelessly on IEEE802.11b/g norms or via a USB 2.0 local network adapter. Wii can also be connected to Nintendo DS.

Virtual Console:

Wii can also download games from Nintendo 64, Super Nintendo, or the renowned NES. The Virtual Console can also play Sega Megadrive and TurboGrafx games (a console developed by NEC and Hudson).

Specifications:

Wii includes 5112 MB of in-built flash memory, two USB 2.0 ports, and an in-built Wi-Fi adapter. An SD memory card slot lets games boost the in-built flash memory.

Processor:

The Wii has a “PowerPC” processor, designed with the 90 nm SOI CMOS procedure, developed in cooperation and produced by IBM.

Other Characteristics:

Four GameCube controller ports and two GameCube memory card slots are included on the console. The Wii is also equipped with a multiple AV output for SCART, composite or S-Video.

Pack Contents:

The Wii console includes a Wiimote with a strap and two AA batteries, a Nunchuk controller, a base, a sensor, a Mains power supply, an A/V cable with SCART adapter and the Wii Sports game.

Wii Sports:

Wii Sports offers five different sporting events (Tennis, Baseball, Golf, Bowling and Boxing), each utilising the Wiimote for natural, intuitive and realistic sensations. Gamers can use customisable Mii characters in the games and play against their friends’ Miis for a more personalised gaming experience. As gamers improve their capacities, the level capacities of their Miis increase and they are able to track their levels.
